Thankful Thursday!

The fact that I get so excited over a picture I edited this morning makes me really realize that I am doing what I am supposed to in life.  Every day I am learning something new and really challenging my self.  I am so thankful to have found something that I am so passionate about it really has been a true blessing.  I feel like this is how I will always feel about photography and it will never go away.  Its amazing!  So back to the picture I edited...  This picture is from a maternity shoot I recently did and I honestly didn't think this picture would make the cut, until I started playing with it this morning and I am glad I did because I love the result!

An Old Dog Can Learn New Tricks!

It's amazing to me how when you put your mind to something nothing can get in the way.  I have made a promise to myself that when I started this photography business I wouldn't let anything stop me.  I have proved that time in and time out.  When there is something that could pose as a detour or barrier I just push through it and figure it out.  Here recently I have had people about pricing, something that I have yet to figure out! I know, that's probably something I should figure out before opening the doors :)  But honestly i didn't think things would fly so fast. So I have been applying a saying my grandmother taught me "Fake it, until you Make it."  I am learning day by day new things about business, photography and most importantly myself.  I am good under pressure and I am great with people.  There will be nothing to stop me!

An example of something I wanted to learn:  I have seen on facebook and various websites photographers are doing picture collages that look so cool.  I thought to myself I want to do that!  So I got on my computer and with a little elbow grease and determination I found out how they were doing these collages!

How Exciting!

Woohoo!! This is my first official post as Brittany Hayes Photography!  As a little girl I drove my family nuts by always wanting to take pictures of everything! So I am sure it is no surprise to any of them that I have devloped a passion for photography.  I just have the balls to do something about it now.  If I am completely honest, I have no idea what I am doing but I do know that I love taking pictures.  I love seeing real moments between people and capturing them with my camera.  I love the adoring look a little girl gives to her daddy or the moment a mother sees her child for the very first time.  Moments.  All being captured in time.  As a photographer I get to be apart of these moments and invited into families most adoring, vulnerable moments.  One of the most amazing moments I have been apart of  so far  in my photography career has been taking pictures of my sister Heather and her boyfriend Myke.....My sister is 8 months pregnant with a little boy!
